Beneath its flip-down waterproof panel, the CMV1's large 3.5-inch monitor offers easy viewing of your number of digital audio/video sources. Play back and luxuriate in DVDs, DivX encoded discs, video from the iPod, and more. Enjoy the newest wave in marine entertainment from your same digital sources you love on land.
Comprehensive Audio and Video Entertainment
The CMV1 gives you options galore for entertainment. Play back several disc formats: DVD-VIdeo, DVD+/-R/RW discs, CD, CD-R/RW, and even DivX encoded discs (the CMV1 actually supports all versions of DivX, including 6, for playback).
Those with large digital music libraries will also be covered, with support for MP3, WMA, and iTunes AAC files, filled with ID3-TAG display of artist/track info.
Got an iPod? You'll appreciate the direct iPod connection via the CMV1's rear USB port. Hook up your iPod and it'll stay charged whilst you enjoy direct control of playback (you can also operate ipod directly, of course). Add Clarion's optional CCA723 cable to add iPod video towards the mix.
Audio Technologies
The CMV1 boasts a 24-bit D/A converter, for richer, natural sound if this hits the speaker. In addition, BBE's MP process drastically improves those compressed MP3/WMA/AAC files, by restoring harmonics which are lost through compression. The end result is definitely an improved warmth, detail, and nuance.
Marine Components
The CMV1 is more than ready for the water, by reviewing the watertight flip-down control panel to the corrosion-resistant, sealed stainless steel chassis. It meets ASTM standards for both salt and fog exposure, too as UV exposure. A HumiSeal coated PCB protects internal components. In short, install it inside your boat and lose focus on about it--the CMV1 is able to withstand the harsh marine environment.
